How to convert DVDs to your PSP

How to convert movie to your PSP is a relatively simple process.

To do this you will first need to convert the movie to the PSP MPEG4 format and then
transfer the movie over to the PSP. The PSP can only play movies in the PSP MPEG4 format.

You would need to convert your movie (e.g DivX, XviD, MOV, rm, rmvb, VOB, DVD, WMV, AVI) to the PSP MPEG4 format. Thankfully with the help of software you can convert and transfer movies to your PSP with the click of a button. I've personally tried a few and I like PSP X Studio the best. It's easy to use and has super fast conversion speeds.

To convert movies to your PSP:

1) You would need to connect your PSP to your PC via the USB cable.
2) Launch the movie converter software
3) Within the software, browse to the movie that you’d like to watch on your PSP and click the relevant convert button.

The software will then convert the selected movie from whatever format it was in to the PSP MPEG4 format. It will then automatically transfer the PSP compatible movie to your PSP automatically. For this to work you have to ensure your PSP is connected to your PC via USB.

There are various types of software that convert movie formats but only specific PSP movie converters will convert and transfer the movie automatically to your PC. A simple movie converter software will only convert the movie to the PSP MPEG4 format but you will need to manually copy over the movie to the PSP.

If you choose to manually copy the movie over to the PSP then these are the steps you’d need to take:

1) Create a new folder in the root directory named MP_ROOT, and then create a folder called 100MNV01 in MP_ROOT.

2) Copy your movie files should into E:MP_ROOT100MNV01, where E: is the drive letter of your Memory Stick.

To watch the movie, scroll over to Video in your PSP menu and select it by pressing the O button. It should list your converted movie, with title, date, and length of video. Press O again and it will start playing.

There are four screen display modes which you can choose from by pressing the triangle button. Scroll up to Screen Mode (2nd from left on the top row) and use the O button to scroll between Normal, Zoom, Full Screen, and Original modes.

Guide on How to Download PSP Games

PSP games are all the rage nowadays. The reason for this is quite simple: the PSP is a very versatile piece of equipment. It allows portability for playing games in the form of small UMD disc that you can easily carry around. However apart from UMD disc, there are other ways of storing your PSP games i.e. in your memory sticks. This is a simple guide on how to download PSP games from your computer to your PSP.

Homebrew PSP games are custom design games developed by programmers. Some of the feature of these homebrew PSP games is that it emulates other gaming console so that you will be able to play wide variety of games from platforms such as Nintendo, Supernintendo, Megadrive, NeoGeo and much more. This makes the PSP a very powerful gaming console not to mention that these homebrew PSP games are available all over the internet.

What you will need is sufficient PSP memory stick. I would always recommend memory stick of at least 1GB, but if you do not have the sufficient resources (i.e. money) a 256MB Memory stick should be alright. Note: for a brand new memory stick you will need to format it. The other thing that you will require when installing a game to your memory card is your PSP Firmware version 1.5 or less. Later firmware version will not work. If you do have a later version of PSP, please consider downgrading you PSP.

In simple terms its this; you will download your games from the internet into you PC and then transfer your game files to your PSP via a USB cable. When your computer is connected to your PSP, your PC will recognize your PSP as a detachable memory (similar to a USB drive). It will assign a drive (usually f: ) and you will be able to drag and drop you PSP games file to your memory stick. These are some of the steps to download PSP games.

Step 1
You must copy your PSP games file to the correct path or the games simply would not work. The correct path is PSP>GAME (all the folder names are in caps)

Step 2
After the PSP games are fully transferred to your memory stick, disconnect the PSP from your PC. In your PSP main menu, scroll to GAME and then select Memory Stick option. Press X, and list of available games in your memory stick will be displayed. If you find any error on your PSP, you might want to check your firmware version.

This is a simple guide on how to download PSP games from your computer and it is a proven techniques and been done countless of times. Most important of all it allows you to enjoy wide variety of games from other gaming console.

Free PSP Games Download

Are you looking for free PSP games download? If you own a PSP, then you probably know how expensive buying PSP games can be. Typically, a PSP game costs $19.99 and a new title can cost up to $49.99 or more.

Let’s say you buy a PSP game and after playing for a week, you complete the game or it becomes stale. What's next? You have to fork out money to buy another one. It can be expensive in the long run.

If you are short of money, another viable option is to get free PSP games download. There are a lot of websites on the Internet that offer free PSP games download. An example is homebrew games. These games are designed and programmed by PSP amateurs and enthusiasts. They may not have the glitzy graphics of commercial psp games, but they are free and pretty fun as well.

However you do need to be aware that not all PSP games download sites are legal. Many are offering illegal PSP games download and you can face hefty fines if you are caught downloading.

Also, you do need to be careful of spyware and viruses that are embedded with the downloaded PSP game. Some sites offering free PSP games download are actually disguised *scam* sites which offer bad quality or non-working PSP games that are laden with tons of spywares and viruses.

With that said, not all sites are bad. Some do offer genuine high quality PSP games for download. Most of these sites will charge a fee for downloading their collection of PSP games. I think it’s quite reasonable and they usually allow you to download unlimited number of PSP games. Plus they provide better support and download speeds.

If you are considering purchasing from these PSP download sites, I highly recommend getting one which has a money back guarantee so you can ask for a refund if it does not live up to your expectations.

Come discover the top psp games download site recommended by Daniel that is legal and fast to download.
